Samantha L. Smith Scholarship
Samantha L. Smith was a Leechburg native and 2010 Leechburg Area High School graduate. Tragically, she died in a car accident in November 2011. Samantha, a passionate female athlete, played both basketball and volleyball for LHS. Her teammates voted her in as captain her senior year in basketball. Many friends, family, and teammates describe Samantha as "full of life" with a contagious personality. She loved to sing and made all those around her laugh. Although she is missed dearly by her family and friends, Samantha's memory lives on through the Samantha L. Smith Scholarship.
