Timeline for Week of Giving 2025 

  • Nonprofit Organizations materials are available 
  • April 21 - All registration forms due to the Community Foundation 
    Deadline for Bonus Fund checks to be received at the Foundation
  • May 5 – May 9 - Checks must be received at the nonprofit organization or the Foundation Office 
  • May 9 - Donations received in the Foundation until 5:00 pm 
  • May 12 - All nonprofit credit card contributions collected must be received in the Foundation office by 10:00 am, Monday, May 12 – NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Municipalities are not eligible to participate in the Week of Giving

The following nonprofit organizations have registered to participate in the Week of Giving!

Our rescue is boots on the ground in all the communities we serve with donations to veterans, children's programs, nursing homes, and the homeless. We train rescue dogs as service/therapy dogs for veterans and supply feed for their pets. We are the voice of the animals we rescue and the veterans that reach out to us every day for help.

The Armstrong Center for Community Learning (ACCL) connects people to resources to enhance lifelong learning. The ACCL awards postsecondary scholarships to Armstrong County residents, coordinates career awareness programs for local youth, and operates a learning & testing center in Manor Township, providing the local workforce with access to professional certifications and licensure opportunities, as well as GED testing. The ACCL also operates the Outdoor Discovery Center (ODC) at Crooked Creek in Bethel Township, which provides an engaging experience for people throughout the region to discover nature through education, recreation and outreach.

ARC manor offers quality substance use treatment to the community of Armstrong County and the surrounding areas. We provide various levels of care, allowing our staff to help connect individuals to the appropriate treatment. Outreach services are provided to parents, churches, schools, businesses, social service agencies, health care professionals, and the community at large.

The mission of Armstrong County Community Action Partnership (ACCAP) is to empower individuals and families in Armstrong County and surrounding areas through resource mobilization, sustainable solutions, and support, fostering self-sufficiency and community strength. Our agency addresses a wide range of needs, including emergency housing, medical transportation, resource navigation, weatherization, food insecurity, and childhood literacy.

The Armstrong County Historical Museum and Genealogical Society maintains and operates an historical museum and genealogical library that are located at 300 North McKean Street, Kittanning, PA 16201.

We are a nonprofit agency helping low-income families afford a decent and affordable homes. We also have a critical home repair program to help low-income families with such repairs as roof replacement, windows and porch repairs.

The Armstrong School District Foundation's mission is to enhance and enrich the learning experiences of our students by encouraging and supporting the development and educational programs. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and EITC partners, we provide grants to teachers and students while also awarding scholarships to graduating seniors to support their post-secondary education.

Armstrong Trails will protect and convert railroad corridors into trails for public use, thereby providing opportunities for commuters and outdoor recreational activities. Our projects will maintain the integrity of corridors for future transportation use while acting as an economic stimulus for the area communities.

Enriching the culture of Western Pennsylvania by presenting free, high quality entertainment at the Murtha Amphitheater and other venues.

Child Evangelism Fellowship of Armstrong-Indiana-Westmoreland Counties is an evangelical, Bible-centered mission whose purpose is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish them in the local church. Ministries include Good News Club, 5 Day Clubs, After School Clubs, Party Clubs & Fairs.

Divine Redeemer Catholic School is a leader in faith-based education, with rigorous academic standards, especially in the area of STEM.

DKRC advocates for and implements special projects that improve community design, enhance the environment and foster economic development in Kittanning Borough and in the Kittanning area. The Organization works with the Borough of Kittanning and with allied organizations and governments to accomplish its purposes.

Our school teaches 3 t o 6 year old children the basics of letters, numbers, reading and all about the world surrounding us, like animals, plants and relationships. We use a small classroom setting to show children how to develop good, kind, loving relationships with others.

The Ford City Public Library provides materials, programs, and services with a focus on engaging and enriching our community. Our Library exists as a place for everyone to have the opportunity to learn, share, and create.

The Fort Armstrong Folk Festival, through involvement of juried artisans, volunteers, entertainers, and business partners, present an entertaining, educational, and community driven event. The Festival pays tribute to Armstrong County's Heritage and stimulates strength and growth of the local business and organizations by attracting visitors to the area.

Feeding the hungry is the mission of the Food Bank at Grace Presbyterian Church. The Food Bank provides essential food to hundreds of families every month. we are totally supported by donations, staffed completely by volunteers and 100% of the donations goes to feeding people.

Haiti H2O: Hope to Opportunity equips local leaders in rural Haiti. We invest in Haitian-led solutions for remote villages through construction, agriculture, healthcare, and micro-business. We affirm the dignity of our Haitian partners by listening to their priorities and building on local strengths.

HAVIN provides free and confidential services to anyone experiencing domestic violence, sexual violence, stalking or child abuse. Supportive services are also provided to significant others. Kay's Cottage, an umbrella organization of HAVIN, is Armstrong County's Child Advocacy Center providing Forensic Interviews as well as advocacy and resources to support Children and their families.

Human Animal Allies invites you to join us in fighting animal cruelty and neglect. We do so by supporting our three volunteer humane police officers who investigates reports of animal neglect and cruelty, help those who struggle to care for companion animals, and prosecute those who hurt or neglect animals. HAA's mission is to promote respect and compassion for all living creatures in the hearts and minds of those in our community.

The Kittanning Cemetery was established in 1853 in Kittanning Borough. Where the playground is now on N. Jefferson St. It was later moved to Rayburn Twp. We strive to keep the cemetery attractive and in good condition to honor those entrusted to our care.

The friends enrich the library's resources through funds derived from memberships and special projects. We promote the growth and development of the Kittanning Public Library.

Rotary provides service to others, promotes integrity, and advances world understanding, goodwill, and peace. Local initiatives include awarding scholarships, sending high school and vocational students to leadership workshops, elementary education & literacy, as well as local community projects.

Orphans of the Storm was established in 1969 to give unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats a safe refuge and medical treatment while they await new homes or we find their owners. We also promote and educate on humane treatment of all animals.

PWAC provides vocational rehabilitation services to adults with disabilities across Butler, Armstrong, and Indiana counties through a range of programs and services that are designed to guide individuals to pursue their personal employment and community participation goals.

Run with Heart is a group of volunteers that are passionate about training the public in CPR and AED. We believe in the power of bystanders saving lives and aim to breakdown financial barriers to CPR education by providing free training.

The Salvation Army has been serving the residents of Armstrong County since 1092. The Salvation Army strives to help struggling individuals and families in crisis with emergency food, household utilities, rent and mortgage assistance. We also conduct senior outreach programs to area senior centers as well as to the our county Veteran's Residence.

At the Worthington West Franklin Community Library, we provide information resources, education, recreation and community service for the public good.

The Y is more than a fitness center, a place to swim or play basketball. The Y is a community of people of all ages, abilities and income who come together to live healthier.
