Evelyn Benton Nursing Scholarship

Evelyn Benton was a wonderful mother, friend and mentor. As a professional nurse, Evelyn had empathy, kindness and respect for her patients. She inspired and encouraged her colleagues and co-workers and was a role model for so many throughout her life. The Evelyn Benton Nursing Scholarship was established in 2005 in memory of Evelyn by her family.

Scholarship Details

• Available to High School Seniors or Adult Students
• Nonrenewable
• Approximately $600 available
• Applicant must:
  • Be a resident of Armstrong County
  • Be enrolled in a nursing major at an accredited two or four year college, university, nursing school or vocational school in the United States

All applicants must complete the online scholarship application, including his/her response to the following essay question.

your personal traits and experiences that you believe would make you a great nurse
your role models and how they have influenced you
your career goals and aspirations
your reasons for wanting this scholarship and the importance of this scholarship to the achievement of your career goal
