Erin Toland Boyer Memorial Scholarship

Happy Heavenly Birthday Erin - June 2, 2025

We were very honored to award your second annual Apollo-Ridge scholarship this past week.  I felt your presence my angel, such a feeling of peace -strength and calmness.

We  think of you every single day  – and have had to learn that your death  did not end our relationship – the love you  created is still here within us – the memories you created are still here within us – and YOU continue to be here within us – in our hearts  and in our souls !   You live on - not only in our hearts – but all the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here .

-            Until we see each other again –

All our love ,

The family of Erin Toland Boyer is creating a scholarship fund to honor and celebrate her memory. She was a beautiful daughter, sister, mother and wife -- and a true and loyal friend. Though her time here was too brief, she left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Erin had a magnetic presence and an extraordinary ability to forge meaningful connections near and far; she made us all feel special and loved; and as one friend put it, "Everyone needs an 'Erin' in their lives." She was a bright light for so many of us.

To ensure that Erin's bright light continues to illuminate the path for others, this college scholarship will benefit one female graduating Apollo-Ridge High School senior annually who intends to pursue a career in chemistry, biology, health sciences, or related fields. Erin was a 1995 graduate of Apollo-Ridge School District, where she was a member of the Science Club (among many other student organizations), and at Penn State University she majored in biochemistry & molecular biology. She began her professional career as a research scientist at GlaxoSmithKline, before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, then Mesa Labs and finally Azenta Life Sciences.
