Four Armstrong County students had the opportunity to step into the world of business and career exploration through PFEW 2026, an immersive program presented by the Foundation for Free Enterprise Education.

With full sponsorship support from the Ralph & Susan Knepshield Fund for Children & Youth, a component fund of the Armstrong County Community Foundation, each student was able to participate in this week-long experience designed to introduce young people to the possibilities of the business world.

PFEW gives students the opportunity to learn by doing. Throughout their experience, students worked through real-world business challenges, collaborated with their peers, explored different career pathways, and interacted with business professionals.

The experience went beyond learning about business. Students developed valuable skills in communication, collaboration, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making—skills they can carry with them into college, their future careers, and everyday life.

Most importantly, opportunities like PFEW can help students discover their strengths and build confidence in what they are capable of achieving.

For four Armstrong County students, PFEW 2026 was an opportunity to try something new, see themselves in future careers, and gain a better understanding of what lies ahead.
