The Distant Area Volunteer Fire Department has officially enhanced their rescue capabilities with an impressive new addition to its truck: a Surge 18V battery-operated Brute Force Combination Tool. This equipment upgrade ensures our volunteers have access to modern, reliable tools when responding to emergencies in our community.
We are incredibly proud to see these resources out in the field where they can directly support our first responders. This vital purchase was made possible through the generosity of the Harry C. Brenneman Memorial Fund and the Richard G. and Barbara A. Snyder General Charitable Fund, both component funds of the Armstrong County Community Foundation, dedicated to strengthening our local community.
Thank you to our volunteer firefighters for their dedication, and to the donors who make these impactful grants possible.
