Strengthening Community Access Through Library Improvements

Libraries continue to play a vital role in providing access to information, technology, and shared community space. Through a recent grant from the Harry C. Brenneman Memorial Fund, the Leechburg Public Library has made several meaningful updates that are already enhancing both staff operations and visitor experience.

The funding supported the addition of new computers for staff, helping improve efficiency in daily tasks and patron support. Updates to meeting spaces—including new seating—have created a more comfortable environment for community gatherings and programs.

Public-facing improvements were also a key focus. New computer desks provide better access and usability for visitors utilizing library technology. In the children’s area, a light table introduces an engaging, hands-on learning opportunity that encourages creativity and exploration.

Additionally, upgraded equipment for the library’s gaming computer helps ensure that this popular resource remains accessible and functional for users.

Together, these enhancements reflect a thoughtful investment in a space that serves individuals and families across the community. By strengthening both functionality and experience, the library is better equipped to meet evolving needs and continue serving as a hub for learning and connection.
