The Worthington-West Franklin Volunteer Fire Department is preparing the next generation of first responders - thanks to the generosity of the Richard G. & Barbara A. Snyder General Charitable Fund and the Harry C. Brenneman Memorial Fund, component funds of the Armstrong County Community Foundation.

With this grant, the department was able to purchase 5 complete sets of turnout gear for their junior firefighter program and 2 Kenwood portable radios with chargers for the department.

These tools allow junior firefighters to train safely while the department remains fully equipped to serve the community.
